When William Fox Talbot moved on from his camera lucida - which could not record its images - to fix those images in the primitive version of true photography, he pretilly called the invention 'the pencil of nature'. [Halla Beloff. Camera Culture. 1985]

 

My images aim to capture something of the the essence of things I feel passionate about. My style tends to minimalism ... even austerity. Underlying themes are: beauty v. decadence, order v. chaos, justice v. injustice, the incongruous, and aspects of perception and consciousness ... .

I am happy if I can bring attention to something valuable that might otherwise go unnoticed.
